Bentley is developing 5-door coupe, SUV and entry-level grand tourer

For Volkswagen to reach its goal of becoming the number one car company by 2018, each single brand has to be subjected to several modifications. Bentley is the next brand to produce new vehicles. A report from AutoExpress states that the Bentley badge will soon be seen on a 5-door coupe, an SUV and an entry-level grand tourer. Previously, the Bentley badge had been exclusive for highly expensive sedans. The 5-door coupe will share some parts with Porsche's Panamera and it will be developed as a combination of Flying Spur and Continental GT.

It’s likely that a twin-turbo W12 engine with a 600hp output will power it. But the new coupe could also get a V8 and a diesel. Meanwhile, the Bentley SUV is speculated to be named Cross Continental and to be based on the Cayenne.

With a Bentley badge, this SUV will offer the latest luxury amenities and it will be one of the most expensive SUVs on the market. There will also be a grand tourer, which is expected to be a rival for Mercedes-Benz SL63 and Maserati Gran Turismo. The grand tourer will not cost as much as the other Bentley models. In fact, it is likely to be the most affordable Bentley ever.[via - 4wheelsnews]
