The first appearances of the Donkervoort D8 GT was on Geneva Motorshow. Donkervoort uses loads of carbon fiber for the D8 GT roof and doors, resulting in a of just 650 kg. A 1.8 liter turbocharged Audi 4 cylinder engine producing 180, 210 or 270 horsepower powered the Donkervoort D8 GT. To finalize the car Donkervoort has specifically designed light-weight 17 inch wheels which weight just 6.5 kg.50 units will be produced by Donkervoort per year at the priced at € 90,000 ($ 141,700 - £ 71,500) excluding taxes. The first Donkervoort D8 GT’s should be ready by June 2008.
