Lancia Ypsilon VERSUS

Recently, Lanica has joined forces with Versus, a Versace Group owned brand, to create a special edition version of its Ypsilon supermini. This limited edition will only have 500 units. For the exterior, a ‘Bronzino’ bronze exterior paintwork that bears a screen-printed ‘Versus’ logo on the roof. Other unique features of the exterior are the bronze-colored 16-inch alloy wheels and the bronze finish on the grille, handles and mouldings on the doors and rear bumpers and tailgate handle.

However for the interior, the interior boasts a special upholstery with a ‘Versus’ logo heat-printed in relief that recalls the world of fashion wile the head restraints. VERSUS logo is adorned to the dashboard and the door panels.

2009 Renault Megane

Renault take chance to unveil their new Megane at the Genava Motor Show. The Megane also promises to deliver significant improvements in terms of quality and equipment levels over the model it replaces. For the interior, a new analogue/digital instrument cluster is incorporated, along with an intuitive color-coded cruise control module, hands-free entry and ignition and Bluetooth DVD sat-nav system. The powertrain options range from 100-hp to 180-hp gasoline engines and diesel choices ranging from 85 to 150 hp, all of which are mated to a range of five- and six-speed manual and automatic transmissions.

When the new Megane hits European dealerships in the next few weeks, it will be offered with an array of diesel and petrol engines. The diesel range will include the 1.5-liter dCi with outputs of 85 HP, 90 HP, 105 HP and 110 HP (depending on the market) as well as the dCi 130 HP and the top-of-the-line, dCi 150HP (automatic) and dCi 160HP (manual gearbox)

For the engine, there are several type of engines for the petrol range which comprise the 1.6-liter 100HP and 110HP engines, as well as the 2.0-liter 140HP and the TCe 180 HP. The 2.0-liter 140HP engine will come along with a six-speed manual gearbox and for future a continously variable transmission will be introduced with this powerplant. Renault's latest petrol engine, the 1.4-liter turbocharged TCe 130 HP engine will be produced in the spring of 2009. Depending on version, these engines can be mated to five- or six-speed manual or automatic transmissions.

Citroen's Special Edition C3 Pluriel Charleston

This year, Citroen’s iconic 2CV which celebrates its 60th birthday, the special edition C3 Pluriel Charleston will be unveiled at next month’s Paris Motor Show. The special edition features a two-tone color scheme of black and bordeaux red complemented by new 15” alloys with red center caps. Positioned at the high-end of the Pluriel range, the Charleston’s interior has been enhanced with gloss-black fittings, leather upholstery and chrome trim

Volkswagen Caddy Topos Sail Concept

Recently, Volkswagen’s commercial arm announced that it will present the Caddy Topos Sail design concept which takes its nautical theme to the extreme with the wooden boat deck.

Based on VW’s smallest commercial vehicle, the design of the Caddy Topo Sail is using the cues from classic yachts and has its multi-functional roof covered with wooden decking surrounded by aluminum roof rails. Besides that, the driver and passengers can access the wooden boat deck via four matching wooden and aluminum steps in the Caddy’s tailgate. Completing the nautical design theme are wooden inserts along the side of the vehicle and in the rear bumper.

Street Legal KTM X-BOW in the States


Recently, KTM has announced that KTM has intention to bring the X-Bow track car to the United States and make it street-legal to boot, despite previously saying that the X-Bow would only be sold in Europe and Asia and that it would be confined to the track.

This announcement was made at the recent annual gathering of KTM bike dealers from North America in Salt Lake City, Utah and is made by KTM sales and marketing chief Hubert Trunkenpolz.

Daihatsu New Move Conte

The Japanese mincar maker, Daihatsu is introducing their new Move Conte on Monday, August 25. Although the 5-door Move Conte is slightly shorter than the Fiat 500 measuring in at just 3,395 mm in length, Daihatsu supports that the minicar will offer ample space for four passengers thanks to its innovative interior packaging. The move is moved by either front or four wheel drive. The Move Conte will be available with two 3-cylinder engines, the naturally aspirated KF-VE developing 58 and the turbocharged KF-DET producing 64 HP.

Daihatsu, which is 51 percent owned by Toyota, announced the suggested price is ranging in between 990,000 yen to 1.595 million yen (excluding consumption tax).
