It’s for sure that in the near future we will experience elegant, stunning and sparky cars on the roads. Wheels are an important part and this futuristic concept relies on the same with Transforming Multifunctional Wheels. This wheel is made of 24 spokes, which are made from special carbonfiber. Each spoke is constructed independently and can tilt 15 degrees back and forth, which adds safety to the ride. The multifunctional wheel makes your driving safer as it can minimize the impact of collision due to its special design and also assure a firm grip on the road. Acura's BMW X6 Rival has a name: ZDX Concept

The New York Auto will see the debut of Acura's BMW X6-esque crossover concept that was formally named today the ZDX. "The ZDX prototype is unlike anything you have ever seen before from Acura," said Jeff Conrad, vice president of Acura sales. "The prototype showcases a new level of luxury, style and refinement for Acura and speaks volumes towards our commitment to advancing the brand, he added.

Acura said that its luxury four-door-crossover-sport-coupe-like-profiled concept cars will be followed by a production version that is scheduled to arrive at U.S. dealerships this fall. As we speak, there's no information on the ZDX's hardware but expect to see a V6 engine among the offerings.

Acura's BMW X6 rivals is here, but the real engine and cars body was not officially revealed.I hope it just not a teasers and rumors saying it is better than what BMW X6 has to offer.

Hyundai Tiburon Successor that's Planned for 2011

With the new, rear-wheel drive Genesis Coupe already available on the market, Hyundai is now concentrating on the successor of the Tiburon (called Hyundai Coupe in Europe and other markets) that is scheduled to be introduced in 2011. Speaking with Autoweek magazine, John Krafcik, CEO of Hyundai Motor America, revealed that the firm's new coupe will be positioned below the current Tiburon in terms of size and more importantly, in price. If you're thinking in the likes of the long-gone Honda CRX, you're probably right. It will have a lower price point, kind of eco sport positioning, where it is not going to be all about performance," Krafcik said. "It is going to be very fuel efficient. It is going to be stylish, a real nice complement to the Genesis coupe," he added.

Krafcik also noted that the new coupe will share a front-wheel platform with the Hyundai Accent and Elantra and that it will be offered with an entry-level 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine, adding that the car's styling will draw its inspiration from the Veloster 2+2 coupe concept that was revealed at the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show.We can't say that we're surprised with Krafcik's revelations as it was apparent that Hyundai would follow a different road with the Tiburon's successor after the introduction of the sportier and more powerful, RWD Genesis Coupe.

Mazda Kiyora Concept

Mazda has confirmed its Paris Motor Show lineup, which will be led by the Kiyora concept, a water-themed, Nagare-styled city car built on a new platform that features a "next generation" direct-injected four-banger. No additional details have been relayed at this time, other than it's supposed to be lightweight and efficient, in keeping with Mazda's "Sustainable Zoom-Zoom" approach. (As an aside, you should know that it's quite amusing to watch grown adults actually say this stuff with a straight face at press conferences.) Also officially confirmed now is the updated MX-5, complete with the new happy face that hit the web on Wednesday. It's joined by the Mazda6 MZR-CD 2.2L diesel and the Mazda2 MZ-CD 1.6L diesel, both of which are also world premieres. As always, we'll be in Paris to bring it to you live next month.

Mazda has combined cool with concern by targeting their Kiyora concept at young urban drivers who care about the environment.

A fun car for young urbanities, the Kiyora Concept features new technology being developed for the near future as the company moves towards its target of achieving a 30 percent reduction in fuel consumption by 2015 with a corresponding lowering of CO2 emissions.

The concept features the next-generation 1.3-liter direct injection spark ignition (DISI) engine, automatic transmission with manual shift control and a rigid and lightweight body shell for very high fuel efficiency and low emissions. It also features Smart Idle Stop System (SISS) to further reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
The new Mazda Kiyora concept car is based on an all-new platform designed to minimise weight and maximise safety and driving pleasure. It also features an interior design and new functions that support a youthful lifestyle.

Kiyora is a continuation of Mazda’s Negare design series. The concept’s design is based on a water theme and is shaped like a water droplet on its side, with the shape mirrored by the two back windows. The aerodynamic Kiyora includes a detailed underbody design that controls wind swirl, a rear roof spoiler and specially sculptured body lines that result in a coefficient of drag 10 percent lower than that of Mazda’s sub-compact Mazda2.

Continuing on the water theme, Kiyora channels rainwater through an activated carbon filter and then in to a drink bottle located between the front seats. The Nagare flow lines at the front of the car direct outside air into the cabin through the right side of the dash which is a large, single piece of activated carbon that filters the air. The transparent roof gives the interior an open-air feel but contains photovoltaic solar cells which provide electricity for interior systems.

The Nagare design language is reflected in the interior with shapes that look as if they are sitting on water and moving from front to back. The instrument panel flows around the driver, the front seats seem to float and the door structure protects the occupants.

Rear hidden seats consist of a seat frame that is part of the body structure and covered with a strong but flexible fabric. The fabric allows a person to sit down and supports the passenger but springs back to its original shape when the person leaves the seat.

2010 Chevrolet Camaro

The launch of the highly anticipated 2010 Chevrolet Camaro is expected in the spring of 2009. It'll feel a bit like back to the future, as GM's iconic pony re-emerges to compete with the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger.
The new Camaro will be available with a 3.6-liter V6 aided by a six-speed automatic, a combination expected to be rated at 26 mpg on the highway. Enthusiasts will gravitate to the Camaro SS, equipped with a powerful V8 and a choice of manual and automatic transmissions and 20-inch wheels. The Camaro will be built on GM's new global rear-wheel-drive architecture.
The production version looks essentially identical to the concept first shown at the 2006 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, a remarkable achievement given the demands a modern design must meet. Compared with the retro-styled Mustang and Challenger, the Camaro has a more contemporary and angular appearance that looks more cutting edge.
This is not a reissued '69 Camaro. In fact, some might have wondered if this car was designed in the Chevy studio at all. It's edginess looked Cadillac inspired.
