The MINI Cooper is a small two-door, four-passenger car produced by BMW as a modern version of the original Mini, offered in both coupe and convertible versions. Making its debut at the NAIAS 2007, the second-generation 2007 MINI Cooper was shown in Detroit alongside the MINI Convertible Sidewalk, a special edition of the popular MINI Convertible. The 2007 MINI Cooper has been completely redesigned from the ground up with a slightly longer body but retains its trademark character and style. The exterior is highlighted by a new hexagon radiator grille, direction indicator lights are fully integrated in the headlights and chrome is extensively used. Available in Cooper and Cooper S, the Cooper S has a sportier suspension set-up and its engine compartment lid curves up an additional approximately 0.8 inches to accommodate the turbocharged engine. The MINI Cooper comes in a fully automatic convertible roof with a power sunroof integrated into the top and it opens and closes in just over 15 seconds.
